Welcome to the website for the 12th North American Caribou Workshop, which was held in Happy Valley-Goose Bay from November 3-6, 2008.

The theme of this workshop was "Integrating Understanding Across Ecotypes", a theme particularly relevant to a province home to four Rangifer ecotypes. From threatened sedentary woodland caribou of central Labrador to mountain caribou of the Torngats, from the migratory George River herd to the woodland caribou of Newfoundland, our diversity is our blessing and our challenge.

The 12th North American Caribou Workshop provided the opportunity for people of all interests and backgrounds to network and share ideas amidst a beautiful and culturally rich landscape.

The organizing committee would like to extend sincere thanks to all the supporters and attendees who continue to make this a truly worthwhile event. This year's gathering in "the Big Land" was yet another exciting conference, providing participants with a unique Labradorian experience.
